Mobile Infirmary Medical Center

Mobile Infirmary, the flagship hospital of Infirmary Health, was founded in 1910 and is one of the leading hospitals in the state, with 689 beds including a rehabilitation hospital. It offers advanced care in many areas, including heart care, cancer treatment, stroke care, and emergency services, and is home to the region’s only long-term acute care hospital. The hospital has earned recognition such as The Joint Commission certification as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center and Blue Distinction honors for joint replacement and spine surgery. It also features advanced technology like the da Vinci® robotic surgical system, having completed over 10,000 minimally invasive procedures, and continues to expand its capabilities to provide high-quality, state-of-the-art care across Southern Alabama and the Gulf Coast.

Thomas Hospital

Thomas Hospital is a 189-bed, not-for-profit hospital and part of Infirmary Health, employing over 1,270 staff and providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services such as emergency care, robotic surgery, cardiovascular services, orthopedics, pediatrics, maternity care, and rehabilitation. The hospital is expanding with a new $40 million patient tower—expected to open in fall 2026—that will add beds, an enhanced Cath Lab, and a rooftop helipad. Nationally recognized for high-quality, patient-centered care, Thomas Hospital has earned distinctions including Blue Distinction Center+ for Maternity Care, multiple U.S. News & World Report high-performing ratings, Women’s Choice Awards, and honors from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. It offers specialized services such as the county’s only open-heart surgery program, advanced emergency and critical care, a leading Birth Center with a Level II Special Care Nursery, dedicated inpatient pediatrics, and advanced breast care treatments. The hospital also supports medical education through accredited residency and fellowship programs and features Colony Rehabilitation Hospital, the county’s only accredited comprehensive rehabilitation center for physical and neurological recovery.

North Baldwin

North Baldwin Infirmary is a 78-bed acute care hospital and part of Infirmary Health, employing over 260 team members and offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, robotic surgery, orthopedics, maternity care, and advanced imaging. The hospital is highly recognized for its quality and safety, earning multiple honors such as consecutive Leapfrog “A” Safety Grades, a CMS 5-star patient experience rating, Baby-Friendly designation, and national recognition for maternity, cardiac, and stroke care. Its key services include state-of-the-art imaging technology, minimally invasive surgical options, an award-winning Birth Center, 24/7 emergency services with specialized cardiac monitoring, senior behavioral health care, and community-focused diabetes education programs. With an emphasis on patient-centered care, NBI prioritizes comfort, modern treatment, and a supportive environment where patients—especially mothers and newborns—receive continuous, coordinated care.
